A few days after Junakanoo, our friends Susan and Jane arrived and spent a week with us, enthusiastically cooking, swimming, and helping out around the boat. The day they left, Ellery arrived, spending a week with us and spending many hours in a state of profound "Rileyhood." (Rileyhood is a word derived from the expression "The Life of Riley." Our Friend Gary, a renowned wordsmith, extrapolated the words Rileyhood, Rileyfication, Rileyfied, any many others while lying on our boat in Maine in a condition in which he had no desire to move from.) While not Rileyfying, Ellery snorkeled, swam and played a lot of volleyball with other boaters during daily afternoon games.
